Aphasia is a difficulty with language. This could include difficulty talking, understanding, reading and/or writing. Other health professionals may refer to Aphasia as Dysphasia.
Aphasia is most common after a stroke or head injury, but can also be a part of other neurological conditions. Talk to your GP to see if you are eligible for public Speech Language Therapy services.
