Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, district nurses, social workers, dietitians and public health nurses work in the community and provide services on referral from GPs, hospital and other health care providers.

They are part of the Community and Southern Rural Health services, but managed on a geographical basis.

Location

Community services operate from the Thames Hospital campus and from community bases in Coromandel, Whitianga, Whangamata, Waihi and Paeroa.
